What is a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Test?
The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome test aims to identify why you might be feeling unwell and extremely tired. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a long-term illness and goes by the name of myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). It is characterised by feelings of extreme fatigue and tiredness that have lasted for at least six months and which do not go away following rest.

How does this test work?
This test requires a blood sample. Your kit will contain everything you need for your sample to be collected by a nurse and sent for analysis to our accredited UK laboratory for testing.
What tests will you run on my sample?
This test can detect the following:
Epstein-Barr Virus. This test will detect antibodies to the Epstein-Barr Virus which can cause glandular fever.C-reactive protein (CRP). This is a marker of inflammation. This test measures the level of CRP in your blood.
Vitamin D. Low levels can result in depression, feeling low in energy, and an increase in body aches and pains.
Lymphocytes. This test tells you how strong your immune system is and helps to predict how likely you are to develop an infection.
When will my test kit arrive?

How will I receive my test results?
