What will the Covid 19 Quantitative Antibody Test identify?
This antibody test detects both IgG and IgM antibodies generated from either natural infections or Covid-19 vaccinations. Being a quantitative test, it not only determines whether you tested positive or negative but also assigns a numerical value representing your blood's antibody levels.
The quantitative aspect of this test allows you to establish a baseline, enabling you to track your antibody levels over time. Since it targets the Spike protein—an element present in many Covid-19 vaccines—this test is particularly effective post-vaccination. It is also appropriate for individuals who have not received the vaccine.
How accurate is this antibody test?
This quantitative test has a specificity of 99.98% and a sensitivity of 98.8% at 14 days after the onset of symptoms. This test is also suitable if you have not had symptoms of Covid-19 but are looking to find out whether you have produced antibodies in response to a previous Covid-19 infection, or after having the vaccine.
