What does the Comfort Screen test for?

Our Comfort Screen will detect:

  • Chlamydia

  • Gonorrhoea

  • Mycoplasma

  • Ureaplasma

  • Trichomonas

  • Gardnerella

  • Herpes Simplex Type 1

  • Herpes Simplex Type 2

For a discounted price, you can add other STIs to this screen if you would like. They may, however, need a blood or swab sample.

What will happen at my appointment?

Your clinician will ask you to provide a urine sample. While you do not need to fast, you may find it helpful to not visit the toilet for the two hours leading up to your appointment to make sure you can provide a urine sample.

How will I get my results?

All your results will be uploaded to your secure patient area of the Better2Know website. Results are reported confidentially. You can check their progress at any time using a login we send to you upon booking. We will also notify you by email or SMS once they are all ready. Our dedicated staff can also call you to discuss your results if you prefer.

What if my results reveal that I have an STI?

We will help you get the treatment that you need. All the STIs in the Comfort Screen are curable, with the exception of Herpes, which is managed by medication. You can speak to one of our experienced doctors who can prescribe you the medication that you need quickly and efficiently.
