What can I expect at my appointment?

Your private clinician will collect the necessary blood samples, any urine or swabs samples will be self-collected. No fasting or dietary restrictions are required. We recommend refraining from using the bathroom for two hours before your appointment to ensure a sufficient urine sample can be collected.

How will I receive my results?

Your results will be securely uploaded to your private patient area as soon as they are available. Once your results have been reported, we will contact you using your preferred choice of SMS, email, or phone call.

What should I do if I test positive for an STI?

Do not worry if you test positive for an STI, Better2Know is here to help and support you through your treatment. Almost all STIs are completely curable and only require a small course of antibiotics. There are a few that are not curable, but with early detection and proper medications and management, they do not significantly impact your life. Your Better2Know doctor will be able to refer you to a specialist if they think it is necessary; this tends to only be needed for infections such as HIV or Hepatitis B.
