How does this screen work?

When you receive your kit, please read the instructions carefully. Contact Better2Know to arrange for a medical practitioner to collect your blood sample (additional charges may apply). Alternatively, you can arrange to find your own medical practitioner who will collect your blood sample for you. Once your blood sample has been collected, please post it along with your urine sample to our accredited laboratory using the postage-paid return envelope.

You should collect your urine sample yourself at home. Your urine sample MUST be posted to the laboratory at the same time as your blood sample.

When will my test kit arrive?

All orders placed before 4pm, Monday to Friday, will be posted on the same day. You should receive your kit either the next working day or the following day.

How will I receive my results?

Your results will be available to view online in your secure patient area, using the log-in details sent to you by email when you order your test. You can check the progress of your results at any time by logging into your patient area. We will email you as soon as all your results are ready.

Is testing with Better2Know confidential?

All Better2Know screens and tests are completely confidential. We will never share your personal information or results with anyone else without your permission.

What should I do with my results?

If your results are positive for Syphilis or HIV, you should visit a doctor to discuss confirmation testing and any treatment, or any further testing that should be done. This test cannot distinguish between a past and current or new infection, so you would need to have a confirmation test. Better2Know can connect you with a private doctor in your local area, or you can visit your own GP.
