When should I get a Bacterial Vaginosis test?
Your vagina should maintain a healthy balance of flora to stay healthy. When there is an imbalance of bacteria in the vagina, symptoms like an unpleasant “fishy” odour, unusual vaginal discharge, vaginal itching, and/or burning during urination can occur. This test may help to understand the causes and is useful if you have not had any recent sexual contact.

Should I be concerned about having BV?
Bacterial Vaginosis can usually be treated with a short course of antibiotics. The treatment you are prescribed will depend on your symptoms, if you are pregnant, or if you have been diagnosed with another sexually transmitted infection.
