What does the Female Swab test for?
The Better2Know Female Swab uses a vaginal swab culture to look for bacterial infections. This swab is for you if you have any pain, discomfort, or unusual discharge in your vagina. It is usually taken along with a Comfort Screen if you have recently been sexually active.
How long do I have to wait before getting tested?
You can take the Female Swab at any time.
What Symptoms may mean I need this Culture tests?
Some symptoms you may experience include:

How does the sample collection process work?
When you arrive at your clinic for your appointment, a medical professional will give you instructions on how to collect your sample yourself. It is no more difficult than tampon insertion and removal.
Will my results be confidential?

What do I do if I test positive?
If you test positive, our Patient Services team will schedule a consultation with a Better2Know doctor. Your doctor will discuss your results with you and help you access any medication you will need. You can also take your test results to another physician for a second opinion.
