What is the Better2Know Gardnerella test?

Better2Know’s Gardnerella test uses a single urine sample to see if you have Gardnerella. It is suitable for men and women.

Why should I get a Gardnerella test?

Gardnerella is a natural part of the vagina’s flora. However, this flora can frequently fall out of balance, leading to a Gardnerella infection. This infection can be passed on by women through sexual intercourse, and so both men and women can get the infection, but men cannot pass the infection on.

What happens at my Gardnerella test?

At your chosen clinic, you will be seen by a doctor or nurse who will ask you to provide a urine sample. Please make sure you will be able to provide a sample when you attend. They will take your sample and send it for fast and accurate analysis. We will report your results to you as soon as we receive them from the laboratory.

What should I do if I test positive?

Gardnerella is a natural bacteria and can clear up without antibiotics. If you or your partner is pregnant, or trying for a baby, or if you have symptoms then a short course of antibiotics will help. We will help you if you require a consultation to get medication.

How do I book my test?
