Is this Chlamydia test accurate?

Yes, this is an accurate test for Chlamydia that also allows you to test from the comfort and privacy of your own home. All Better2Know tests are highly accurate tests and your result will indicate whether or not you have an infection. If you are not sure which Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) you may have or you are concerned about a risky encounter, you may wish to opt for our Full STI Screen which tests for a range of sexually transmitted diseases.

How does Chlamydia home testing work?

This test only needs a urine sample. After you have bought your test online we will post the discreet STI test pack to your home (the postal pack is plain so no one will know what it is). In the pack you will find a form, container for urine collection, instruction leaflet, and a post-paid return envelope. The leaflet will give you step-by-step instructions on how to collect your sample. It is important that you follow the instructions on the leaflet carefully. You will get an email when your results are ready, or you can log on and check online whenever you like.

When will my test arrive?

If you order a test before 4pm Monday to Friday, we'll post it out to you by first class post the same day. Depending upon where you live, your Chlamydia test kit should arrive the next working day or the day after.

How long before I get my Chlamydia test result?

The results of your Chlamydia test should be ready within two working days from when your sample arrives at the laboratory.

What happens if my test is positive and I need treatment?

You can choose for Better2Know to arrange an appointment for you with a doctor so that you can discuss the results and get a prescription for the required medication (there will be a small fee for this), or you can take your results to your own GP.

Is testing through Better2Know confidential?

Yes. Your results and details are 100% confidential and we will not inform your GP or anyone else without your permission.

How long should I wait after sex before getting a Chlamydia test?

Typically, you should wait 2 weeks since your last risky encounter before getting tested.
