What is the Fast Six Screen?
The Fast Six Screen is all the STIs we can test for where you will get your results back the same day that your sample is received in the laboratory. You should wait 28 days after any incident you are concerned about before having this test.
Which STIs are tested for?
This screen tests for:
HIV I/II and the p24 antigen
Chlamydia
Gonorrhoea
Syphilis
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis C
You can also add other STIs to this screen. The results will take a little longer to come back. Please ask our booking team or choose your additional tests online.
Which samples does this screen need?
This Fast screen requires a blood and urine sample. No swabs are needed. As with all our screens and tests, there are no fasting requirements. Please make sure that you can produce a urine sample at your appointment.
What if I test positive?
Do not worry, we will help you. Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and Syphilis are all curable with the right antibiotic. Your Better2Know doctor will be able to prescribe the right antibiotic for you.
HIV and the Hepatitis viruses may need specialist care. We will help you to access the right medical advice, support, and treatment for you.
