Product Information

Three reasons to choose the Better2Know Sperm Count Test

  • We will tell you what your Sperm levels levels are

  • We will tell you if you are at risk of having fertility problems

  • This test has fast and accurate results that can help you reproduce successfully

Use Better2Know’s Sperm count test to understand your fertility levels and if you will be able to have children successfully.

Who is the Sperm Count test for?

The Better2Know Sperm Count test is designed for men who want or need to know if they are producing a normal level of Sperm. Sperm cells are produced in the male testicles and are necessary to fertilise the eggs produced by women. If the levels of sperm are reduced below a certain level, of if the health of the sperm is less than ideal, the man is likely to have problems with fertility. The Better2Know Sperm Count test is the most reliable test to determine the health of your Sperm. From a sample of your semen, our laboratory will count the number of viable sperm cells and also make an assessment of their health. The number of Sperm is a highly reliable indicator of male fertility.

What does the test include?

Your Better2Know Sperm Count test will determine the following:

  • The number of Sperm in your semen sample.

  • The health and viability of your Sperm.

  • If you are likely to have any fertility problems .

How do I schedule my appointment?

To start your booking process, use the “Get Started” button located at the top of the page. Select an appropriate clinic, date, and time that meet your specific requirements.

What can I expect at my appointment?

This Better2Know Sperm Count test will be conducted by a qualified medical professional at a clinic of your preference. You will need to provide a semen sample in a discreet consultation room.

What happens to my sample?

Once we have taken your semen sample, it will be dispatched to our accredited laboratory for analysis. The expected turnaround time for this Sperm Count test is approximately two days from the moment the laboratory receives your sample.

How will I receive my test results?

Once the analysis has been completed, your test results will be securely uploaded to your dedicated online Patient Area. Additionally, you will receive a notification through your chosen method of communication, whether it be a phone call, email, or SMS.

What should I do with my test result?

Knowing your Sperm Count is very important information. If there is any indication that your Sperm levels are below the normal range, Better2Know will arrange for you to speak to one of our Doctors to discuss your results. Low levels of Sperm will affect your fertility and might mean there is a problem with your testicles or with another part of your reproductive organs. Some fertility problems can be resolved with medication but sometimes surgery is required. Knowing your Sperm Count is the first step to understanding why you may be having difficulty reproducing.
