Sex is a natural and healthy part of life. It is a great way to reduce stress, connect with your partner, and improve your overall health. It can even lower cholesterol, blood pressure, strengthen your heart and muscles, and reduce risks for conditions such as strokes and hypertension.

Men and low sex drive

But for some men, it can be a bit more difficult. Often, men are stereotyped into the category of wanting sex all the time. Admitting to a low sex drive or no desire to have sex can be a challenge. There are many reasons why you may not want to have sex anymore. Some of these reasons include:

  • Lack of physical or emotional intimacy in the relationship
  • Lack of connection with the partner
  • Stress is affecting your libido and sexual performance
  • Relationship problems, such as infidelity or constant disagreements
  • Lack of communication
  • Your partner makes you feel poorly about yourself
  • Not feeling appreciated by your partner
  • Unable to get aroused
  • Depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues
  • Vitamin deficiencies or medical reasons
  • Physical disabilities

It is nothing to be ashamed of and you should feel comfortable talking with your partner or doctor about your lack of desire for sex.

Have a discussion with your partner

Remember to be open and honest with your partner about not wanting to have sex anymore. Having a heart-to-heart talk with them may open a deep conversation that will lead to understanding where the disconnect is. The talk will strengthen your relationship, create a closer bond, and encourage building a better foundation.

You can discuss if you feel depressed, underappreciated, or unhappy in your relationship. Having a calm conversation will help determine the problems and find solutions. If you feel your partner is being unfaithful, bring it to them and see what they have to say. If you have experienced infidelity in your relationship, it is important to get tested for an STD. If you are sexually active at, it is a great idea to get tested for STDs every six months to keep yourself healthy. Testing has never been so easy. Just click here to get your test started.
