1 minutes read1 minutes readIf you are worried that you have an STD or STI one option is to go to your GP. However most GPs will not offer tests on site and will direct you to a GUM (Genito Urinary Medicine) clinic for testing (and there is only one reason why you will go there).
However a study has found that many patients were disappointed that their GPs were not able to provide the service that they wanted. Many felt that they had taken a big step by saying what they had wanted out loud and they did not want to repeat this to someone in a GUM clinic they did not know and would prefer to be treated by their GP.
